Drawing is a skill that can be learned but of course, some people are more talented than others and some have a steadier hand ... others simply have a better memory for details but all in all, drawing can be mastered by almost anyone.

Practice, as they say, makes perfect.

So if you haven’t quite perfected your talent yet then practice. Most dedicated artists practice drawing on a regular basis which often means on a daily basis.

Now you may be wondering how you are going to make any money with your drawings right? It’s really not difficult, after you can draw well enough to create works of art you have many options.

First, you could scan the internet to find art related websites that allow “starving artists” to post their work in an attempt to sell it. Of the website owner would most likely get a small percentage either up front as a post fee or after the sale or both.

Another option is posting your work on auctions such as eBay. Again, you will have to pay a fee but in the end you will profit. You could also put an ad on Craigslist for your local area ... state that you will do life-like drawings of various subjects. Can you imagine how many mothers would love to have a drawing of their child (children)?

There is a local artist in my town that makes his living by creating simple drawings of homes. He takes this a step further because he is affiliated with a guy that owns a print shop. After the drawing is complete the buyer has the option of purchasing greeting cards, stationery and other documents using the drawing as part of the graphics.

Finally, you could develop your own ‘drawing’ website. There you could not only display your work but sell it as well. The profit would be all yours, you could even create a guide to teach others to draw ... that would provide you with an additional product to sell.
